rom the outside, the manufacturer/refiner equation looks fairly
simple. A manufacturer generates precious metal scrap. The scrap
is sent to a refiner. The refiner processes the scrap, recovers the
metal, and hands the manufacturer a check based on what comes out.
And there you have it.
However, take a closer look at refiners' services and you’ll find
that they can do more for your operation than melt metal. They can
suggest ways to maximize your returns, hedge your metal against market
fluctuations, provide custom alloys, and more. And all you need to
do is ask.
